This is Ireland

31 May 2012

I’m back at the farm after an incredible 10 days of touring Ireland,

meeting passionate artisan food producers,

and local food enthusiasts.

Sharing products,

and hopes for the future,

in front of our Food Island camera.

Now, it’s time to spend some time

having a look at all the beautiful + inspiring footage

and choose & deliver selects

to an amazing editor and friend

who will work her storytelling magic.

Oh, and since it’s haymaking season,

we’ve decided to treat ourselves to fresh hay ice cream while we work!

{blogpost soon}

Lovely post! and I love that photo! I live in Dublin for only a month and I think it takes a piece of my heart I can’t stop thinking of going back to Ireland, what a beautiful country! By the way, your blog is amazing!

  3. I absolutely love that photo. I lived in Ireland with my husband (who was born and raised in Kildare) and now we live in California. As happy as I am that I live in Sunny California, I do get nostalgic for the beautiful, green beauty of Ireland. This photo really brought out that longing! Good thing I’m going for Christmas….

  4. Beautiful photo. My sister and I are traveling to Ireland at the end of July and I cannot wait. Counting the seconds. Incidentally, I found out about your blog from my mother-in-law who won a “food experience” with you in a silent auction! (Not sure if I have that just exactly right. 🙂

  5. Beautiful photo. I’m glad you had nice time.

Can’t wait to see more of your adventure ’round the Emerald Isle! It’s been ages since I’ve been to Ireland, but I can tell you that when the wheels of the plane lifted from the runway on my way home… I cried. Yes. Seriously. Felt like leaving home.

  8. Imen, I’m from Ireland but currently living in Australia. This photo makes me want to book the next flight home. Boy do I miss the green green grass of home. xo

Fresh hay ice-cream! Now THAT is a blog post I can’t wait to see!

  10. Beautiful! Your photo makes me want to break out my watercolors this very minute and paint it!
P.S. Our nettles are up, I thought of you and your tea the other day when I skirted a large patch. I am going to put on my brave pants and pick some to try it!
